Rainy Elopement at Grandfather Mountain // Heidi & Zach

On August 14th, 2020 Heidi and Zach celebrated their Rainy Elopement at Grandfather Mountain. Heidi and Zach wanted to have a magical elopement and decided on an intimate ceremony by themselves, where they could be in nature and fully enjoy their special day. They rented the coziest Airbnb (the most picturesque cabin)! It was not only the perfect backdrop for the photos but also the perfect place to become husband and wife! The Airbnb was in a small little nook of the mountain, complete with lush greenery and even adorable rocking chairs. It truly felt like we had this little modern cabin on their very own mountain.

The day started off with some gorgeous “getting ready” shots of both Heidi and Zach. Because they eloped without any friends or family present, they took some time before their “first look” moment and ceremony to talk to family and friends on Zoom. Heidi was glowing! She looked absolutely stunning in her dress which was from the brand Bronx and Banco.

There were so many beautiful moments captured during this elopement – from the ceremony, to adventurous shots outside, to even little romantic moments around the Airbnb as they sang, danced around, and kissed. It was simply dreamy!

Although we had a little rain come our way, Heidi and Zach were champs! We used the clear umbrellas to create some whimsical images in the lush green of the mountain. Their laid-back attitudes made every moment truly perfect.

Helping couples plan their intimate elopements is a key part of what I do as an elopement photographer. From helping you plan your wedding day timeline to cracking some jokes for you to relax behind the lens, I’m here as your documenter and your friend! Heidi and Zach truly trusted me to capture their love and help their Rainy Elopement at Grandfather Mountain be the big celebration it was.

LETS DO THIS!

I believe photography is much more than creating beautiful images – it’s about the connection that you share as a couple and the human connection that we also share that will aid in capturing images that are representative of you and your unique love.

My goal is always to show a unique perspective on what makes this time in your life so beautiful. Lets learn more about each other and share in each other’s lives. Lets laugh with the good and capture the hard times for what they are. Lets set our sight on the beauty of what is happening in the present, so years down the road you can relive the joy and love of this season through images that represent you well.
